If I Were a Bird...

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."

Lots of News

Hi, bloggy friends! I'm in complete early-Summer happiness right now... I just got in from weeding our cucumber row, I'm only slightly sunburned :-), and now I'm sitting here writing this blog post, in a pair of comfy shorts, with a big class of root beer next to me...*sigh*...

It's been a while since I last posted! No, I haven't forgotten about you. I've just been taking a blogging break through a few stressful weeks. But, I'm back, and I have a few updates to give you!!

1.) I'm done with high school!

We are closing everything up with our cover school,
and I will be transferring my transcripts within the week
to the college I will be going to this August.
Woo hoo!

And congratulations to all  the rest of the 2011 graduates!!

How many of you readers are graduating right now?
Comment to let me know...I'd love to hear from you! :-)

2.) I'm starting college in two and a half months!
For the longest time, I could not even imagine deciding what in the world I would want to study...in fact, there was a time when I didn't know if I wanted to go at all... However, My family and I prayed about it, and we all felt it was the right decision for me.
Still, I had no idea what I wanted to do! As sort of a last resort, I chose to study Elementary Education...I love working with kids, and it just seemed like the "smart" choice out of all the other options I could think of. However, it just didn't sit right...

After a ton of prayer and talking with Dad and Mom, I finally felt the Lord's leading towards a particular major!

And you know what?
It's something I actually have a passion for, and could eventually lead to teaching anyways!

This August, I will be attending our local community college, studying towards my AA in History.

Yep, History!
I have always had a major interest in studying History, and along with the fact that I can teach later on, it really is the perfect fit for met now....

I am actually, truthfully, incredibly excited, which is not something I could have said a couple months ago.

Thank you, Lord, for your guidance!

3.) The knitting class I was teaching at our co-op is now over...

general conclusion of it:
a major learning experience, for me more so than the children. :-)

I really learned a lot about interacting with the younger grades, learned their [and my] limitations, and had a plain ol' good time some weeks! I hope the kids had as good of a time as I did!

Good bye for now, my friends, on this GORGEOUS day!
I'm off to go eat a late lunch, and then clean my closet out...<:-)
Happy Sunday!

P.S.
There's one more thing I wanted to share with you...:-) after over a year of waiting, my hollyhocks are finally blooming!
