School is Back

Winter break is over, which means school is back. While it was sooooo nice to have a break from it, there are a things that I am looking forward too going into the second semester, such as less babysitting. However, there is one thing that I was most looking forward too, and that is co-op.
Unlike last semester, not all of my classes are P.E. related. I'm still taking Karate and English Country Dancing, but I'm also taking a college-prep writing class. I signed up for a sewing class, but it didn't really turn out well. (For a few reasons, like only three other people around the age of 11, not a lot of work in the class, etc.) Instead, I will be taking an art class that my mom is helping out in. It looks like it will be interesting, and a lot of fun. I've never really liked taking art or drawing classes at co-ops, because we always had to stay on the schedule, never doing a lot of drawing. But this class has a lot of things in it, such as chalk art, ink, and a whole lot more. (It will also count as an elective credit, which is always good :-) The only thing is that not a lot of my friends from last semester are in the classes I'm taking. But I guess that's okay, because that's a chance to meet more people. Over all, it looks like this semester is going to be as good or even better as the last.

New Year, and New Resolutions

Happy New Year!!! I am going into this new year very differently than in others. I'm actually making resolutions. I have always hated making resolutions, because I usually gave up by the middle of January. However, I'm starting off this new year with a few. There are a couple little ones, like exercising at least three times a week, and actually drinking more than one or two glasses of water a day. However, there is one that I am most wanting to achieve: Reading the Bible in one year. In my opinion, this is the most important one anyone can make, to get closer to the Lord, to study His Word, and to integrate His Word into our hearts.
There is one problem though. If you are anything like me, you know how hard it is to keep to a daily schedule. :-s You would not believe me if I told you about the hundreds of things I've started, and I'm sure thousands of scheldules I have planned out, most of which I either took at least double the amount of time to do, or never completed them at all. And there has been many years before where I set out trying to read through God's Word. Sadly, I have to say that I haven't completed it yet. That is why I resolved not to go into another year without something that will be a constant reminder, and a help to see this through. It is a thing called: Read Through the Bible with Brio. Brio is a christian magazine for teen girls. Every year, they put out a monthly schedule of scriptures to read. If you follow the entire thing throught out the year, you will have read through the entire Bible. To make sure I remember to follow the schedule, every month this year I will be posting the scedule for that specific month. If you would like to look at the schedule on the magazine web site, just click on this link: http://www.briomag.com/briomagazine/spiritualhealth/a0006
